Shipping Policy

Haydel's Bakery ships fresh King Cakes, Kringles®, Cajunnolis®, cakes and pastries from our New Orleans headquarters to anywhere in the continental United States.

How Packages Ship

The date chosen on the Shipping Calendar is the Ship Date, NOT the date the package is delivered. The legend on the Shipping Calendar reads: "Items leave our location on this date." 

Orders placed after 12:01am CST will be shipped on the next business day, unless a later Ship Date is selected by the sender. All items shipped overnight should arrive by the end of the next business day, though the holiday seasons may affect these delivery times.

Orders can be upgraded for A.M. delivery (if applicable), which guarantees delivery by 10:30 am - 12:00 pm or extended delivery area by 1:30 p.m. All orders shipped on Saturdays will be received on the following Monday.

All baked goods are shipped UPS Next Day Air Saver®. See item for type of shipping. Upgrades to UPS Next Day Air® are available on most items.

Additional shipping charges apply for Saturday shipping/Monday delivery (if applicable), UPS A.M. delivery (if applicable) or LA state tax (if applicable). Final calculations will be made once the shipping address is entered and a ship date selected. 

Incorrect Addresses or Missing Information

Haydel's Bakery cannot guarantee shipment, nor will be held responsible, if incorrect or incomplete information is provided, including but not limited to: recipient's phone number, suite #, apartment #, incorrect city/state/zip, etc.

PO BOX addresses are not accepted for shipping. If recipient's address requires a Box Number (such as a College address), the PHYSICAL street address must go in Address Line 1 and the BOX Number in Address Line 2. UPS will not ship to a PO BOX and the shipping label will not print if one is entered for Shipping Address. Billing Addresses can use a PO BOX.

Weather Delays

Haydel's Bakery and UPS are not responsible for any delay or failure in delivery due to adverse weather conditions/Acts of God including but not limited to: snow storms, natural disasters, etc.

Holiday Shipping

Prices are subject to change without notice. Dates are subject to close without notice due to the large volume of orders processed during our peak seasons (Christmas and Mardi Gras). 

Saturday Shipping for Monday Delivery

Please note that only Traditional, Da Parish, and Sugar Only King Cakes will be delivered on Monday. Cream Cheese, Café au Lait, and Strawberry Cream Cheese King Cakes are not advised, as they will sit at a UPS facility all day Sunday. For quality control, Cream Cheese, Café au Lait, and Strawberry Cream Cheese King Cakes will not be shipped during warmer months.

International Shipping

Shipping not available online for international orders. International orders (including those shipping to Puerto Rico) must be placed over the counter or by phone. Sender MUST provide the phone number for the recipient (which must match the country), as UPS World Ship will not accept the order without the phone number. International orders only ship on Tuesdays (or Mondays during Holiday Hours), as this will give Customs time to process and release packages.

Cancelations/Edits on Orders

Customers must call the bakery to cancel or edit an order. The Shipping Department is only active during the Christmas and Mardi Gras seasons, and emails may take up to 24-48 hours to receive responses. If shipping labels have been printed and/or packages already shipped prior to contact, the package cannot be halted or altered.
